August Is #DO_IT_FEMININE Month

44

The month of August is a month globally recognized as Women’s month. Here at Selibeng, we are great supporters of the revolution created by women globally to ensure that the next generation lives in a gender inclusive world.

In the words of Author Priscilla Shirer, “Women continue to prove that although males and females are different in physicality, they should not be different in value.” It is for this reason that Selibeng will use the month of August to not only celebrate women, but to also teach them how to value themselves without trying to behave masculine.

The idea of femininity seems very far-fetched of late because of the misconception that the world is masculine. This misconception has created a stereotype in that to be accepted by the world, amorphous activities such as cooking and doing your nails are an indication of being too soft. As a result, we have a number of women shunning the concept femininity in totality.

Selibeng is declaring August as the DO IT FEMININE month. This month is solely aimed at educating women about the need to embrace their femininity while winning in the world.

We will help women answer the question, ‘What is Femininity In The 21st Century?’ Throughout the month, we will discuss a few topics that relate to femininity and how to balance it all with the workload that every woman has.

You can look forward to topics as simple as beauty care as well as those as complex as the need to exist with passionate equanimity. The face of this campaign is Tlalane Mokhesi whose opinions will be used as a radar on how women can become better through embracing their femininity.

Without any further ado, welcome to #DOITFEMININE month!
