Position: Audiovisual producer Specialist

We are currently looking for a pool of Audiovisual Producer Specialists for FWAs, supporting the EU in the delivery of communication campaigns and activities in various countries or regions outside Europe. Such activities will contribute to raising EU visibility and increasing awareness of the positive impact of the projects supported by the EU with the largest possible audience in those countries or regions. Tasks may include, but not be limited to:
- Development of original concepts, scripts and scenarios, storyboards, animated graphics or animations (2D or 3D) for audio-visual products in order to make to subjects dealt with accessible and comprehensible;
- Production of audio-visual material and narratives;
- Production of video in various formats and including drone footage and graphics: documentaries, reportages, including 360° videos (virtual reality), promotional clips, TV spots and video products aimed at social media distribution or “close to the action” mobile phone videos etc.
- Dissemination of audio, video, and printed products through the agreed channels at the agreed time, and negotiating and/or buying TV and digital advertising space
- Organisation and coordination of events; media events and journalist visit to programme projects; conferences and workshop
- Camera Operator physically operates camera equipment both in studio and on location for film, television and video broadcasts and recordings
- Responsible for editing and assembling recorded raw material into a suitable, finished product ready for broadcasting. The material may include camera footage, dialogue, sound effects, graphics and special effects.
- Subtitling and dubbing in the languages of the target audiences;
- Transposition and reproduction of all products for dissemination in the appropriate formats, e.g. for video in 4:3 or 16:9, SD, HD, 4K or any other format which will become widely available or for audio in MP3, MP4 or any other encoding accepted as part of the industry standards (the formats required will be finalised when the specific order is placed).
Qualifications and skills:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in video and/or audio production, photography, communication, or equivalent;
- Fluency in the main language spoken in the country of the assignment;
- Fluency in English, including the ability for clear and concise oral and written expression would be a great advantage.
Professional experience:
- 5 years of professional experience in video and/or audio production, including 2 years in the country of the assignment;
- Experience in the delivery of communication services for international organisations (EU, UN, IFIs) or public institutions in the country of the assignment would be a great advantage.
