Corruption Watch is a non-profit organization launched in January 2012. We rely on the public to report corruption to us and use the reports as an important source of information to fight corruption and hold leaders accountable for their actions.

Corruption Watch seeks to appoint an Attorney to be based in Braamfontein – Johannesburg.

The purpose of the position is to provide general and legal support through the execution of various duties, including but not limited to: legal research and drafting, case management, drafting submissions on various policy documents including draft bills, investigative work, general administrative work, and assistance with project based deliverables.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Case management, legal drafting and strategic litigation thinking
Factual research on specific cases and reports
Legal research and writing, including the drafting of opinion pieces
Assist with legal projects, campaigns workshops and seminars
General administrative assistance to the Legal and Investigations team

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

LLB degree
3 Years minimum legal experience
General understanding of the South African political climate
Legal research
Attention to detail
Advanced communication skills
Excellent writing skills
Computer skills
Administrative and file management skills
Consultation skills
Stakeholder management skills
