PROFESSOR/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the position of a Professor/Associate Professor in the Department of Theology & Religious Studies.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Applicants should possess:
- A Ph. D in Religious Studies.
- University teaching experience of at least 10 years both the Undergraduate and Post-Graduate levels.
- Proven track record of research and publishing in the areas of Religious Studies.
- Must have at least 10 journal articles published in accredited journals.
- Proven track record and extensive experience in community service.
- Proven track record and extensive experience in management and leadership at academic institutions of higher learning.
- Proven track record and extensive experience in mentorship of junior staff.
- Proven track record of ability to source funds for research and conferencing.
Duties:
The successful applicant shall be expected to:
- Teach courses at both undergraduate and post-graduate levels.
- Carry out research and publication in the departmental and interdepartmental levels.
- Supervise the undergraduate scientific research projects.
- Supervise Ph.D. and M.A. Dissertations.
- Contribute to the development of the Department, the Faculty of Humanities and the National University of Lesotho at large.
- Engage in meaningful and productive community activities.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties appropriate to the post.
