Minimum qualifications and requirements:
The applicant should have the following credentials:
- PhD in Economics or a closely related field
- Masters in Economics with coursework
- Strong background in Microeconomics, Macroeconomics and Quantitative Methods/Techniques
- Sustained publications in recognised or accredited journals
- Experience in tertiary-level teaching and postgraduate supervision
- Experience in curriculum development or academic programme reviews, and ability to attract research funding will be an added advantage.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The incumbent will be expected to teach courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, supervise and monitor students’ (mini) dissertations or theses, and carry out any other duties as may be assigned by the Head of Department.
