ASSISTANT TEACHER ADMINISTRATOR, POST ONE (1) GRADE D (M76 116 – 88284 P/A) TEACHING SERVICE DEPARTMENT (TSD)
Job Summary
Under the general supervision of the Teacher Administrator, the incumbent will collaborate with accounts sections in relation to processing of remuneration and benefits of teachers.
Main Duties
- Undertakes in-depth screening and processing of terminal benefits for teachers.
- Guides teachers in the filling of option forms, fills computation forms and proof reads completed forms before their submission to pensions. 3. Coordinates processing of pensions/gratuity claims.
- Provides advice and interpretation of Rules, Regulations and Policies of Education.
- Maintains strict adherence to retrials payment schedules and report to Teacher Administrator on any discrepancies in the process.
- Brings to the notice to the Senior Accountant (TSD Accounts) of all underpayments and overpayments.
- Issues casualty returns regarding appointments, transfers, leave confirmation and retirements.
- Consults with manpower regarding the approval of nominations and study leaves.
- Maintains and updates progress report of teachers on study leaves.

Qualifications
Diploma in Human Resources Management / Public Administration / Business Management
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS SND ABILITIES
Good interpersonal skills.
Computer literacy is an added advantage.
Knowledge of Public Service Rules and regulations. Knowledge Education Act.
Knowledge of Education Rules and Regulations.
