Job Description

Sales Responsibilities

• To identify business opportunities and evaluating their position in the industry, researching, and analyzing sales options

• Conduct sales calls, tele sales calls, site inspections to current and potential clients per targets

• Oversee the booking and reservation of space in a hotel to ensure availability and proper arrangement

• Increase Rooms, Dining, Meetings, Weddings, Events, Casino and other related functions revenue

• Sells products by establishing contact and developing relationships with prospects, recommending solutions

• Maintains relationships with clients by providing support, information, and guidance, recommending new opportunities

• To negotiate favourable terms and conditions with the clients as directed by Sales & Marketing Manager

• Identifies product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, & competitors

• Ensure the submission of accurate and complete Sales reports to Sales & Marketing Manager

• Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards

• Ensure full adherence to Sales and Marketing processes and procedures

 Marketing Responsibilities

• Managing coordination of marketing and communications activities to leverage reach/results as directed by Sales & Marketing Manager

• Assist in the creation of all marketing material (external & internal i.e., menus, leaflets, in-room, branding, and logo items ensuring all branding and company corporate identity guidelines are followed)

• Respect Avani brand guidelines

• Assist in coordination of marketing campaigns

• Assist in maintaining an effective working relationship with all members of target media, electronic and print, local, national, and international to encourage and maximize coverage of all events and promotions

• Ensure media and partners lists are accurate, updated and well maintained

• Assist in handling promotional offers and events with the concerned departments within the hotel

• Produce and submit PR, Marketing and Social media activity report to Sales & Marketing Manager

• Maintains all hotel social media channels i.e., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Tiktok

• Take photographs of all internal functions, as well as social media content

• Ensure full adherence to Sales and Marketing processes and procedures

Qualifications

Minimum of Diploma in Hotel Management, Sales and Marketing, Business, or related field. 

• Minimum of 2 years work experience as a Sales, Marketing Executive

• Minimum of 3 years work experience in the Hospitality Industry

• Must have a valid driver’s license

• Digital Marketing Certificate will be an added advantage

• Has knowledge of the global search engines and booking tools

• Understand the concept of distribution and have worked with all travel segments

• Understands rate structuring and yield management
