Key performance areas:
Articulate succinct problem statements, collect relevant facts and current jurisprudence and laws, and synthesise
Provide research into relevant subject areas
Take minutes and follow up on action points for project meetings.
Assist with training staff in relevant project activities
Synthesise materials and write editorials to inform public opinion
Conduct workshops or participate in research forums where appropriate
Support social media profile of HJI
Required minimum education and training:
A Master’s degree in Law or Public Policy or related discipline
Required minimum work experience:
1-2 years’ experience in conducting health, legal and/or public policy research
Experience working with human rights, legal and health research methodologies and organisations; and
Demonstrated knowledge across and understand key issues in the following areas: Health Rights; Public Health; Human Rights and Public Sector Governance; Legislative and Policy processes
Desirable additional education, work experience and personal abilities:
Experience in the non-profit sector is an advantage;
Demonstrated competence in researching and publishing research summaries, reports and/or articles in relevant fields;
