About the Role
The Rosehip Company is actively seeking a dynamic and results-driven Assistant Production Manager to support our growing operations. This pivotal role involves working closely with the Production Manager to streamline production processes, manage resources, and ensure quality and efficiency across all stages of production.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with administrative tasks such as production schedules and timesheets
- Appoint labour and procure stock to ensure smooth production flow
- Prepare cost estimates for materials, equipment, and labour
- Oversee quality control throughout the production process
- Ensure production deadlines are met
- Monitor and maintain production equipment efficiency
- Provide regular updates to the Operations Manager
- Coordinate production activities with other departments
- Resolve labour disputes when necessary
- Uphold high standards of quality and productivity
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelorās or Associateās degree in Production Management, Operations Management, or a related field
- Experience in the food industry (e.g., brewery, flour mill) is an advantage
- Strong supervisory and team leadership skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of procurement and production costing
- Proficiency in quality control and budget management
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to work extended hours when needed
