Job Purpose
Managing various financial responsibilities within the set standards required by the company thus contributing to the productivity of the Life Finance Department.
Areas of Responsibility
- Supervise subordinates
- Preparation of Bank Reconciliations
- Journal Processing
- Cash Book Management
- Credit Control Management
- Debtors Age analysis & Debt collection
- Review of Claims payments and Reconciliations
- Reconciliations of General Ledger accounts
- Maintenance of Fixed Assets Register.
- Preparation and Submission of LRA, FIU and BSA Returns
- Claims and Expense Processing
- Data capturing in Accounting System (ACCPAC)
- Ensuring proper allocation of Insurance premiums.
- Attending to both internal and external payment queries.
- Assist in preparation of management accounts
- Ensure adherence to GAAP and IFRS
- Participate in the implementation of IFRS 17
- Participate in all Audit processes
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
- General Accountant or equivalent tertiary qualifications
- 5 years related experience.
