Requirements:
Under direction and leadership of the nurse in charge liaising with HIV and AIDS coordinator plans, provides, evaluates and coordinates all HIV and AIDS related activities, programs and services for the student body. Implements polices and HIV/AIDS related programs and services.
Primary duties
- Carry out the pre-test, rapid testing for HIV anti-body, post-test counseling and follow-ups.
- Refer clients for further management of their conditions to the clinic/health centre and district hospital.
- Keep confidential reports and records of clients.
- Compile monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
- Participate in Quality Control and Quality Assurance programs related to HIV testing and counseling.
- Provide health education to clients and pregnant mothers.
- Carry out DNA-PCR test to exposed infants to determine their HIV status.
- Participate in awareness campaigns with other local partners.
- Monitor adherence of clients
- Provide indexing services to clients
- Carry out community mobilization.
- Perform trainings of students on HIV/AIDS related issues
- Track clients who have defaulted ART treatment
- Perform HIV recency testing when necessary
- Ensure availability of IEC materials and refill condom dispensers.
Qualifications
Diploma in pastoral care and counseling
HIV counseling and testing certificate.
Work experience
5 years working experience in a clinical setting
Must be able to perform recency testing.
Exposure to working with youth for at least 5 years.
Ability to record using eRegister.
Must possess Code B driving licence
Skills
Good communication skills in both Sesotho and English
Ability to keep confidentiality

Remuneration:
The University offers salaries and benefits commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Employment type
Permanent and pensionable/gratuitable terms for Locals, and Two Years Contract for Non-Locals with a possibility of renewal.
