ASSISTANT BUTCHER
Location: Maputsoe, Lesotho
Employment Type: Full-time
ROLE PURPOSE
The Assistant Butcher supports the Lead Butcher with cutting, packing, cleaning and maintaining product quality.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with cutting, trimming and preparing meat.
- Pack, weigh, label and display products.
- Maintain cleanliness of counters, tools and cold rooms.
- Follow hygiene and food safety procedures.
- Help with stock rotation and receiving deliveries.
- Provide friendly customer service.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Basic knife handling and cutting skills.
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
- Good physical strength and stamina.
- Ability to work in cold environments.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum qualification required: COSC/LGCSE.
- Experience in a butchery or food-handling environment is advantageous.
