JOB TITLE: ASSESSMENT CENTRE MANAGER

MINISTRY OF PUBLIC SERVICE

JOB SUMMARY
Under the general supervision of Director Assessment Centre, the incumbent is responsible to plan, administer, conduct and provide feedback on assessment as well as ensuring effective and efficient day-to-day running of the Assessment Centre.

MAIN DUTIES

  1. Conducts test-related administrative duties for all assessments in order to ensure a professional workflow management.
  2. Interprets and score psychological tests to facilitate their ease clientele consumption.
  3. Writes reports and provide one-on-one feedback to HR Departments and the candidates.
  4. Maintains an up-to-date database of all candidates for ease of reference when need arises.
  5. Conducts validation studies of assessment tools to ensure application of the correct tools.
  6. Provides input into policy and procedure development to improve quality of assessment procedures.
  7. Implements developed psychological assessment instruments and conduct reporting to ensure that best practices and ethical guidelines are adhered to.
  8. Identifies development needs and document personal development plans.
  9. Implements assessment centre methodologies.
  1. Supervises management of assessment data and results to ensure effective service delivery to the customers.
  2. Implements project initiatives as and when required, adhering to quality standards, deadlines, timeous resolutions and ensure that deviations are communicated timeously.
  3. Ensures professional and legislative requirements are adhered to and complied with.

JOB SPECIFICATION

EDUCATION AND TRAINING

The incumbent must have:
• Master’s degree in Industrial Psychology plus two (2) years experience as Human Resources officer or Assessment Officer
• Certification in use of Assessment Exercises
OR
• Honours in Industrial Psychology plus three (3) years experience as Human Resources Officer or Assessment Officer.
• Certification in use of Assessment Exercises
OR
• Degree in Industrial Psychology plus five (5) years experience as Human Resources Officer or Assessment Officer.
• Certification in use of Assessment Exercises

OTHER NECESSARY SKILLS/COMPETENCIES

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good organizational skills
  • Highly computer literate
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to deal calmly with challenging customers
  • Willingness to work flexibly to meet the demands of the job
