About the role

We are looking for an Artisan: Rigger to perform preventative maintenance to achieve optimal plant availability by reducing downtime and breakdowns

Reporting to the Controller: Maintenance, you will:

• Inspect and repair assets in accordance with best practice

• Record job statistics

• Monitor, identify, respond to and/or report defects, sub-standard equipment performance and other improvement opportunities

• Perform condition checks according to job-cards, checklists and condition monitoring procedures

• Assume “technical ownership” of breakdown situations and manage all aspects of corrective work

• Maintain and improve safety, health and environmental standards and practices

• Perform fair and reasonable tasks related to the job and working environment, at the discretion of the Supervisor

• Comply to MHSA regulations

About you

To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:

• Minimum N2 or equivalent, but preferably STD 10/Grade 12/NQF level 4/N3 in an Engineering discipline

• Trade Test -Rigging

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a heavy industrial environment

• Drivers Licence: EB (Code 8)
