Applications are invited from suitably qualified Lesotho Nationals for the above-mentioned position. The position is tenable in, and has operational, financial and human resource management responsibilities for the LEC Mokhotlong area. The incumbent will be responsible to the Regional Manager North.
QUALIFICATIONS
• BSc Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
EXPIERIENCE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum of 5 years experience in the field of Electrical Engineering.
• Maintenance of High Voltage equipment e.g lines & sub-stations
• Knowledge of National & International electrical codes and standards.
• Knowledge of budgeting process and budgetary control.
• Computer Literacy
• Must have a valid driver’s licence

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
The incumbent will be responsible for performing the following:
• Adhering to network maintenance plans and schedules.
• Carrying out root cause analysis on network faults and rectifying them.
• Communicating to, and enforcing construction standards of private contractors.
• Coordinating network switching and load transfers.
• Designing extensions/ system improvements for network strengthening.
• Validating survey sheets, preparing and approving service connections’ quotations as well as quotations for relocation and damaged LEC network.
• Implementing service connections to meet set targets.
• Identifying network weak points and proposing system improvements.
• Authorising material requisitions for service connections, faults rectifications and planned maintenance.
• Enforcing adherence to safety rules and regulations.
• Providing support to SHEQ committee.
• Preparing reports and carrying out standby duties.
• Leading and coordinating Mokhotlong Area activities and all personnel activities.
• Any other duties that may be reasonably assigned from time to time and occasioned by the position requirements.
