Cullinan Diamond Mine is situated in the town of Cullinan 30km east from Pretoria.

Job Description: This position requires an energetic and dynamic individual to support all stakeholders in the provision of a high
quality and professional cost management service, and to provide advice and guidance on a wide range of costing/financial issues.
The incumbent will be responsible for contributing to the costing/financial objectives of sections allocated to them, through optimising
and maintaining costing/financial systems. This includes timely and accurate management information, continual improved service
to line managers, and execution of the various processing activities in the business unit, ensuring compliance with sound accounting
and costing/financial practices.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
Processing of accounting records and reporting thereon on AccPac and various other systems
Manage and take responsibility of:
Cost controlling and analysis of cost management information
Annual budget process, and the year and half year process
Ongoing forecasting process in area of responsibility and in line with strategic objectives
Preparation of cost meeting information, cost meeting presentations and value adding reports to budget holders and
stakeholders
Analysis of expenditure and revenue/cost controlling
Preparation of all month end journals, provision and accruals
Ensure that proper document control is in place with methodical and accurate filing ability
Meeting deadlines and accurate outputs with high proficiency and accuracy/attention to detail
Monitor/manage cash flows
Develop working system for monthly processes
Assist in the development and training of budget holders
Create and maintain sound business relationships with line managers, budget holders and colleagues
Assume any other additional/ad-hoc financial/administrative related duties and handle/resolve cost controlling queries
Required to work according to the mine Code of Practice, and report any observations of this not being done
Ensure personal and co-workers’ adherence and compliance to Security and Company’s SHE objectives
Compliance with policies, procedures and work standards
Minimum Requirements:
Grade 12
BCom Degree (NQF 7) or 3-year Diploma (NQF 7) in Accounting or Cost & Management Accounting at recognised tertiary
institution
Minimum 3 years’ experience in an accounting environment
Advanced PC Literacy in Microsoft Office
Proven experience in AccPac and e-Workflow – please indicate on your CV/application
Advantageous (Skills/Competencies/Experiences & Qualifications):
Knowledge of Essbase will be an advantage
Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience in a mining / plant environment

Working knowledge & application of generally accepted accounting practices
Excellent telephonic, verbal and written communication skills in English across all levels within the organisation (official
business language is English)
