Position Overview
LSP Construction Ltd, a leading construction company in Lesotho, is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Architect to lead large-scale projects from concept to construction. This role requires exceptional design talent, advanced technical knowledge, and a proven track record in managing complex projects through all phases.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop initial design concepts based on client needs and preferences
- Collaborate with clients to understand their vision, budget, and requirements
- Oversee the entire construction process, coordinating with contractors, engineers, and other professionals
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress and make necessary design adjustments
- Create and edit technical drawings, floorplans, and layouts using CAD software
- Work closely with architectural and engineering designers and project managers
- Interpret design briefs and translate concepts into accurate technical drawings
- Ensure all drawings meet required standards and specifications
- Assist with revisions and updates to existing plans as needed
Job Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Architecture
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience
- Registered with SAIA or SACAP
Required Skills
- Proficiency in ArchiCAD or AutoCAD
- High proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint
- Strong understanding of Architectural Standards (SANS-0400)
- Excellent design and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
