Merchbar is hiring a Growth Manager/Data Analyst for an important new role at one of the most exciting ecommerce start-ups in the US.
As worldwide merchandise partner to Spotify, YouTube and other major platforms, Merchbar sells over 1 million SKUs of artist merchandise across all genres and product-types including apparel, accessories, vinyl records, hats, posters and more. To meet the needs of our broad, global customer base, we must continuously expand and refine our product mix.
Our unique platform and large scale create multiple unique advantages and as such, we don’t take a traditional apparel-industry approach to these crucial tasks. Instead, we have a very analytical and data-driven approach. That’s where this role comes in.
We are seeking someone with an analytical mind and strong data-analysis skills to make data-driven inventory buying decisions and establish frameworks for growth. This will involve sourcing data both internally and externally, working with and analyzing large datasets, performing analyses, making recommendations, building and refining models, establishing buying strategies and implementing growth tactics. It will involve monitoring and evaluating sales of our products — at scale — to decide what we should be buying and making more of and less of.
In addition to analytical skills, this position requires strong and clear communication skills, the ability to operate in a remote work culture, and the ability to be nimble and flexible in a fast-moving start-up environment.
