Animal Feed Sales Manager
Lesotho Flour Mills is a leading manufacturer of high-quality animal feeds, committed to providing nutrition solutions for livestock. We are currently looking for a dynamic, experienced and proactive Animal Feed Sales Manager to join our team and drive the sales strategy for our diverse range of animal feed products. The incumbent will be reporting to the Chief Sales & Marketing Officer.
Key Performance Areas/Expected Outputs
The successful incumbent will be responsible for the following:
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve company sales targets.
- Manage a team of sales representatives, providing leadership, guidance, and support.
- Provide technical advice to the customers, develop and maintain relationships, alliances and partnerships internally and externally with customers and industry.
- Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify business opportunities.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute promotional campaigns.
- Monitor and report on sales performance, identifying areas for improvement.
- Prepare and present regular sales reports to the Executive Manager.
- Provide leadership, coaching and direction to the sales feed staff .
- Develop and implement feed sales policies and procedures.
- Participate in the budget preparation and monitoring of actual gross profit margins and expenditure against budget.
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Agricultural Business or equivalent.
- Postgraduate qualification in animal science, agricultural business will be an added dvantage.
- Five (5) years’ experience working in a Managerial or Supervisory level, preferably in a sales environment.
- Proven experience in animal feed sales, with a track record of achieving targets.
- Possession of a valid driver’s licence is essential.
