Position: Analyst – Microfinance Institutions (MFIs)

Role Overview
The Analyst – MFIs is responsible for the supervision and regulation of Microfinance Institutions to ensure sector safety, stability, compliance, and development.
Key Administrative Functions
- Strategic Planning: Implement short-term objectives aligned with MFI supervision
- Policies & Procedures: Apply operational policies and controls for MFI oversight
- Stakeholder Management: Represent the Bank locally and internationally on MFI-related matters
Key Technical Functions
- Conduct off-site surveillance and participate in on-site inspections
- Identify risks, unsafe practices, and non-compliance, and initiate corrective measures
- Review and update regulatory instruments and supervisory tools
- Manage licensing and registration of MFIs
- Compile and disseminate MFI statistics; develop analytical reports on sector trends
- Resolve financial consumer complaints and interpret MFI legislation
- Participate in sector development initiatives (e.g., financial inclusion, education campaigns)
- Administer the Credit Reporting System and LERIMA
- Produce reports on assigned focus areas
- Perform other duties as required by the Division

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following fields:
- Corporate Business Law
- Accounting
- Finance
- Economics
- Management Accounting
Work Experience
- No prior experience required
- Experience in supervision and regulation of Non-Bank Financial Institutions is an added advantage
