Analyst :MgO3 Digester X4 ( P14 )
Sappi Saiccor Mill requires an Analyst to sample and analyse cooking liqour from the Digesters during cooking process, sample hourly from the pressure and strengthening tank.
This role reports into the : MgO3 Digester Shift Superintendent
The main responsibilities of this job are:
- Report all hazardous conditions to Controller Process (Chargehand Operators)/Controller Cook and Shift Superintendent
- Log the results in the log book and report the results to the Operator and Cook Controller
- Receive and analyse samples from the Recovery Bolier
- Collect cooking samples one hour after start of the cook
- Analyse samples according to the Palmrose method
- Take samples on an hourly basis from the Pressure Tank and Strengthening Tank
- Sign requisition forms for chemicals required for analyses
- Perform tasks required by Management at an equivalent level of complexity
- Adhere to safety,health and environment policies and procedures
The ideal candidate should have:
- Grade 12 / N3 or Equivalent
- At least 2-5 years’ relevant work experience in a similar environment
