A new company that has applied for Money Transfer and Currency Exchange license with the Central Bank of Lesotho is currently looking for AML Compliance Officer. The position shall be based in Maseru on a full-time basis.

Job Description
- We are seeking for an AML Compliance Officer based in our Maseru, Lesotho Office.
- In this role, you will responsible for working directly with other money transfer agents within the region and internationally.
- You will be the primary compliance compliance to AML/Countering Financing of Terrorism (CFT) programs; as well foreign exchange control compliance requirements.
- Propose corrective action measures to mitigate any risks identified throughout the conduction of the compliance reviews of company activities.
- Execute on established AML (Anti-money laundering) Compliance & Exchange Control, principles, standards & oversight expectations within assigned territory.
- Implement policies and procedures designed to mitigate exposure and enhance compliance activities.
- Conduct money laundering awareness ad-hoc training for other employees as may be necessary.
- Actively participates in country/regional discussions on risk and participates in governance and risk mitigation meetings as appropriate.
Requirements
What you will need to succeed:
- Bachelor’s Degree in any field of the following: Business Administration, Law, Finance, Accounting, Economics with proven work experience within the financial services industry/Risk, Audit or Internal Control
- At least 2 years’ experience in a similar position within a financial industry.
- Detail oriented, excellent computer skills with all common MS Office programs
- Aptitude for continuously learning and understanding AML(Anti-money laundering) risks and concerns as well as product uses and risks
