AMANLDA seeks to appoint an Innovation and Experience Design Director to be based in Johannesburg or Cape Town.

Purpose of the position is to be a strategic and cross-functional role that develops, directs and executes the organisation’s innovation and design experience goals, focused currently on digital and sustainability. The Director oversees and works with cross-functional teams to research, plan, develop, test and ensures operational integration/hand-over of new and improved products, technologies and services. These will enhance and improve user experiences (beneficiaries, staff and partners), meet their needs and help the organisation remain competitive in the marketplace.

They will execute their responsibilities through the coordination and management of projects, business-as-usual continuous improvement, developing new business and managing client relationships at executive levels. All aimed at supporting the organisation achieve its strategic goals. The Director will work cross-functionally and organisationally in fulfilling their mandate of supporting and enabling innovations that are driven out of the various functions.

Reports to: Managing Director

Salary: Negotiable based on experience

Requirements:

  • Educational:
    • Bachelor’s Degree (minimum)
    • Honours or Master’s Degree in Product Development, Business Management/Administration, Commerce, Development, Education or other relevant/related field (desirable)
  • Experience:
    • Experience at senior management in Product/Service development environment (minimum)
    • Working in youth development, education or with disadvantaged young people (desirable)
