Always work with a target

This is a simple reminder. Set targets. Before this gets complicated and sounds like having resolutions let’s just look into these few facts.

You might not necessarily be satisfied with your current situation or job. But before you complain about your current situation remember you’re a step ahead.

Now, if you have a job, your target could be finding a new job in two years, or at least getting a promotion.

This looks simple enough. However, in this season there’s work to put in. How do you position yourself better for a promotion in the next year?

Obviously you would have enough experience to land another job, but that’s not always enough. Again, how do you position yourself?

A simple guide could be to further your education or take short courses. A lot more times we set targets but never want to put in the hard work it takes to reach them.

Sadly, time flies. Before you know it, two years have long past. And you’re working the same job that you thought you’d have left.

Working with a target means putting in the effort and not just talking about what you want to achieve. It means getting started now.

It means you continually work until you reach the target. Once the target has been reached, you set new targets. Again and again and again.

It’s easy to think we can just achieve anything. The positive outlook is perfect. However, it doesn’t have to end there. There are more steps to take. And when it gets hard, don’t forget the reward ahead.
