JOB DESCRIPTON
JOB SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the senior Airport Security Officer, the Airport Security Officer is responsible for screening of passengers and their baggage prior to boarding scheduled flights. Enforcement of security regulations at the Airport including use of identity documents, and to maintain order and discipline in the Terminal Building and Airport areas in general.
MAIN DUTIES:
- Screening of passengers and their baggage prior to boarding scheduled flights to ensure security and safety of aircraft and passengers.
- Controls all access points leading to restricted areas of the Airport to ensure secure Airport facilities.
- Enforcement of security regulations at the Airport including use of identity documents to restrict unauthorized entry.
- Checks the Airport Security Assistants’ logbook weekly to establish whether there are any irregularities and for necessary action.
- Responsible for safety of crew, passengers and general public.
- Assist Senior Airport !Security Officer in the supervision of Airport Security Assistants.
JOB SPECIFICATION:
Certificate in Security Operations (Aviation) OR
C.O.S.C/GCE plus 2years working experience in aviation security
