Requirements:
AIMS-NEI MS4CR interns will be placed in research groups in either public or private sector organisations in Africa that have vested interests in the field of climate science and resilience. The intern will work on a specific project that is fully integrated into the work of the host institution. The intern will also have an academic supervisor appointed by AIMS-NEI who will make periodic visits to the host institution.
Applicants must clearly demonstrate how their research at AIMS is related to climate change and how the MS4CR internship will help them achieve their career aspirations. Female applicants are strongly encouraged to apply.
AIMS-NEI will contribute to a monthly stipend for all interns. Additional costs of hosting the intern, including internal supervision and mentoring, facilities, and project expenses will be borne by the host institution.

Shortlisted candidates will be contacted to provide contact details for two recent referees.
Applications will be reviewed by a committee with members from both AIMS-NEI and the host institution. Successful applicants will be contacted within a month of the deadline.
