DAY IN THE LIFE:

We work in a collaborative environment and although our team is geographically separated in the US and Canada, we work very closely together in a shared code environment. Although we communicate continuously, you should be able to work independently without supervision to meet deadlines.


Requirements

The Agile Business Analyst acts as a liaison between business and technical groups, gathering and documenting business requirements, designing business processes, developing high level application designs, and partnering with technical teams on technical specification.

  • BA/BS degree in CS or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years experience working in agile software development
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate, plan, and prioritize while working in a fast paced, ambitious and event driven environment
  • Work with product owner to implement product vision as elicited from business stakeholders.
  • Supports a product owner by helping them analyze the business domain, stocking the product backlog, and grooming the product backlog.
  • Participate in development efforts from inception to production delivery using an agile methodology.
  • Excellent documentation skills including familiarity with requirements techniques such as user stories, use cases, data flows, wireframes and informal modeling.
  • Work with development team to identify and document workflows, architecture and processes.
  • Strong technical knowledge of back-end application and system technologies, including database, middle-tier and user interface layers
  • Define and document requirements; Analyze and prioritize requirements
  • Ability to see tasks through to completion without significant guidance
  • Strong analytical and diagnostic skills
  • Understand the business needs and make critical design decisions and direct the same with other team members
  • Provide agile coaching and mentorship in partnership with scrum master and product owner to the team.
  • Experience working with continuous delivery and continuous integration, with frequent deployments to production.
  • Effectively work with remote teams
