This workshop is only open to those humanitarian professionals who have previously attended a CCHN Peer Workshop. If you have not yet completed a Peer Workshop, you can register for one of our upcoming events here.

Objectives of the Advanced Workshop:

  • To give participants an opportunity to consolidate learnings from the Peer Workshops and acquire skills and advanced tools to plan and evaluate humanitarian negotiation and issue a negotiating mandate.
  • To dive deeper into the behavioral aspect of negotiations and connect them to tools and practices.
  • To apply and practice negotiations based on context specific scenarios.

Main topics:

  • Designing and understanding the mandate of the negotiation
  • Understanding your counterpart
  • Building trust and crafting an argument

How to register

What are the selection requirements?

  • You should be a CCHN Community member: you should have previously attended a CCHN Peer Workshop.
  • You should have experience working in or with a focus on the Middle East and North Africa.
  • The workshop is open to both national and international staff of humanitarian organisations and is entirely free of charge.
