Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
- Relevant experience in Innovation and Entrepreneurship; managing and administering an Innovation Hub; organizing academic and business events such as conferences and expos.
- Team player, entrepreneurial, patient, well-spoken, strong interpersonal interaction skills.
- Experience in business management and financial literacy.
- ICT proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Publisher, Google Docs, Google Calendar and Adobe Acrobat will be preferred.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Work with each enterprise to set clear and achievable goals and continuously monitor their progress.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to the Innovations Hub activities, including fundraising, recruitment of enterprises, and administrative decisions.
- Facilitate networking opportunities for enterprises, connecting them with potential investors, industry partners, and other businesses.
- Facilitate the marketing of the NUL Innovation Hub at both the NUL campuses (Roma and others) and outside the university.
- Provide financial literacy training and support in accessing financing options, assisting entrepreneurs in managing their finances and obtaining necessary funding.
- Organize entrepreneurship training programs covering various aspects of business management, including marketing, sales, operations, and financial management.
- Oversee coaching and mentorship programs to ensure they are effective and beneficial to entrepreneurs.
- Compile reports from enterprises and report progress to the NUL Innovations Committee (NULIC).
- Coordinate activities under the NUL Innovations Hub.
- Manage the NUL Innovation Hub Social Media pages and ensuring consistent flow of weekly innovation stories.
- Organize research and innovation-related events, specifically the NUL International Science, Technology, and Innovation Conference Expo (NULISTICE).
- Work closely with other departments within the university, as well as external partners such as government agencies, NGOs, and international organisations, to support collaborative projects and initiatives.
- Source quotations and invoices to purchase stationery, office and other equipment needed at the Hub.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the NULIC Coordinator.
Knowledge, skills and abilities
- Knowledge of administrative functions necessary to support the operations of the University Innovation Hub
- Skills in the use of computers to maintain data and maintain customer information, word processing, and/or similar office activities;
- Knowledge of ITS Web Interface;
- Ability to prepare reports, and correspondence related to work assignments;
- Ability to handle confidential information
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to assess situations accurately and to take prompt action;
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others and communicate effectively both orally and in writing;
- Ability to compare data and a variety of sources for accuracy and completeness, identify discrepancies, and make corrections.
- Ability to produce results and meet deadlines
