Job Summary

The successful candidate is responsible for ensuring compliance with Riders’ policies, legal and statutory requirements.  Preserve integrity of the organisation and making sure that the right processes and procedures are followed at all times.

Specific Duties

  1. Ensure adherence to governance processes and procedures
  2. Record keeping for administration, HR and Procurement documents
  3. Processing of all insurance documentation for staff and assets/equipment, including claims
  4. Compilation of partner reports in collaboration with the M&E officer
  5. Coordinate staff and board meetings and compile minutes
  6. Respond to legal actions against the organisation and oversee administrative procedures and negotiations.

Skills, qualifications and qualities:

  • Must hold a valid  Degree in Business Administration
  • A minimum of five years working experience working with Donor funded projects
  • Must have experience with HR and procurement processes and procedures
  • Good communication and people skills.
  • Willingness to travel to all areas where Riders operate, within and outside the country
  • Independent and make unbiased decisions

Riders achieves this by managing vehicles on a reliable, predictable and cost-effective basis, to support the work of  health partners whose remit is to reach rural communities with health care and other vital services, as well as transportation of medical samples, results.., emergency medical supplies, reports etc, between the health centres, district hospital and the DHMT.

Riders’ facilitates acquisition of vehicles, setting up systems for preventive maintenance of vehicles including motorbikes, management of vehicles used for health care delivery and training of health workers and drivers on basic motorbike riding, defensive and off-road riding/driving as the case may be. Globally, Riders for Health has enabled health workers to reach hitherto hard to reach areas, and  conduct more outreach  visits, attend  more patients by cutting down walking time and facilitated transport of patient specimen to laboratories  as well as feedback results.       Reliable, accessible, well-functioning, well managed and cost-effective transportation is essential for optimal health care delivery and preventive maintenance of all diagnostic equipment used at health facilities.
