About the role
The role is expected to deliver an excellent service to the International Secretariat and South Africa National Office by monitoring implementation of relevant finance policies and the relevant processes through effective use of the Purchase Order system and Travel management systems. In addition, you will be required to process payments to suppliers and staff in line with relevant Service Level Agreements. You will also be responsible for the preparation and posting of ledger entries and reconciling supplier and staff accounts so that financial information is kept up to date, complete and accurate. You will support the finance team with both internal and external audits as well any other adhoc requests.

About you
A qualified bookkeeper with accounting and reporting skills and experience in dealing with banking systems, suppliers, staff and other contacts. Knowledge of SUN and Concur systems is desirable. You will have a track record of providing excellent customer service, communicate effectively and experience of working in a team. You have the initiative to deliver continuous improvement and finding innovative ways to improve practices and quality of service. You are passionate about Human Rights and will have interest in engaging with the wider organisation on Human Rights issues and conform with AI’s behaviors.
