Position: Accountant – Mobile Financial Services
Level: Supervisory position reporting to Revenue Manager
Purpose:
Responsible for providing financial advice and support to the business and lead through financial analysis in identifying, creating and prioritizing profitable revenue opportunities for the Cassava business. The business partner is also responsible for setting policies and procedures for risk management and compliance with regards to Lesotho’s applicable financial laws and regulations, anti-money laundering laws and business risk / controls pertaining
Key duties/Responsibilities
- Ensure proper system integration between mobiquity and ERP system interfaces
- Reconciliation of Ecocash mobiquity system to the Ecocash Trust Accounts
- Reconciliation of Ecocash mobiquity system to the Ecocash Liability control account
- Ensure monthly completeness and correct posting of Ecocash and Ecosure Revenue into the General Ledger
- Reconciliations of Ecocash Debtor Control Account and Ecosure control account to the Ecosure portal system
- Ensure timely Ecocash float and reimbursements approvals within regulatory timelines
- Coordinate internal audit reviews and Central Bank Of Lesotho inspections
- Oversee Fraud & Revenue Assurance function ensuring appropriate controls and process are defined andmaintained
- Drive Ecocash and Ecosure audit processes to ensure that all reporting requirements are met in compliancewith applicable IAS/IFRS
- Assist in the development of the mobile financial services business plan on well thought assumptions and environmental analysis
- Assist in Mobile Financial Services monthly reporting and forecasts preparations
- Implement the appropriate operational risk and frameworks in Mobile Money, thus ensuring that appropriatecontrol processes and structures are put in place
Qualifications
- General Accountant / B-Com Accounting plus three years relevant experience
- Qualified Chartered Accountant with articles and membership of a financial professional body will be an added advantage
- In-depth understanding of Accounting systems
- MS Excel (Advanced)
- Clear understanding of concepts of internal control and IFRS

Performance Contract
Successful candidate shall sign an annual performance delivery contract; the results thereof shall form the basis of the continued existence of substantive contract.
