Position: Accountant
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant with 1–2 years of experience to manage the financial operations of our distillery. The successful candidate will support financial reporting, compliance, and business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial statements
- Maintain accurate financial records and bookkeeping
- Record sales, purchases, and payroll transactions
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
- Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable
- Ensure compliance with Revenue Services Lesotho (RSL) and Labour Code requirements
- Support audits, grant reporting, and funding compliance
- Provide financial insights to management for decision-making
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 1–3 years of accounting/finance experience (internship experience considered)
- Registered member of the Lesotho Institute of Accountants
- Knowledge of accounting software (QuickBooks or similar is an advantage)
- Strong analytical and numerical skills
- Good understanding of Lesotho tax and labour regulations
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality
