Accountant
Qualifications and Experience:
• Chartered Accountant (CA), General Accountant (GA), or Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) in Accounting.
• Minimum of three (3) years’ relevant accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Should be someone who is currently unemployed.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain accurate financial records in compliance with accounting standards and organizational policies.
• Ensure proper filing and submission of all statutory taxes, including VAT, PAYE, corporate tax, and other regulatory returns.
• Liaise with tax authorities regarding compliance matters, queries, and audits.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including monitoring supplier payments and debtor collections.
• Reconcile bank accounts, general ledger accounts, and supplier/customer statements.
Skills and Competencies:
• Strong understanding of accounting rules and tax regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills when dealing with suppliers and clients.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
