Job Summary
The Accountant captures transactions and compiles a full package to be sent to EGPAF HQ in DC.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for:
- Daily Capturing of vouchers in the QB Accounting System
- Preparing the monthly financial package in order to send to DC for review
- Timesheet management and preparation of monthly timesheet tracker
- Managing the Replicon leave application process
- Conducting leave reconciliation in collaboration with HR
- Monthly review of stores inventory
- Reviews receipts vs cash before deposits
- Prepares adjusting journal entries as needed
- Prepares exchange rate calculation based on the received funding
- Any other duties as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
Knowledge, skills and abilities required:
- Three years (minimum) of accounting experience in a public or private sector organization
- Experience with international donor environment
- Previous experience in managing US government-funds
- Familiarity with USAID regulations preferred
- Proven skills in financial management
- Computer literacy and knowledge of accounting software systems (e.g. QuickBooks)
- Strong team player with proven communication and collaborative skills.
- Possess strong accuracy, attention to details and ability to follow-through.
- Highly organized with ability to meet deadlines, troubleshoot and problem solve.
