As a group accountant, your role will be lead development, deployment and delivering of effective and efficient period end reporting across the group, to prepare the monthly group reporting pack and assist in the administrating and maintaining the accounting records to ensure strong control environment environment across all subsidiaries.
RESPONSIBILITIES
– Preparation of the monthly management reports
– Preparation and consolidation of financial statements and commentary as applicable
– Preparation and consolidation of the group’s budget and monthly performance reporting
– Managing monthly performance variances and providing commentary to variance analysis for management reporting
– Liaison with external auditors for group and subsidiary audit
– Preparation and management of monthly corporate taxes including fringe benefits tax, Income tax and Value Added Tax
-Lead and drive towards the group’s financial department efficient use of its accounting package and their continuous improvement
– Assist with management of group’s insurance covers
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
– A qualified Chartered Accountant registered with Lesotho Institute of Accountants
– Minimum 5 year’s accounting experience including audit experience
– Extensive knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRSes)
– Knowledge of other international taxation regulations will be added advantage
– Solid and technical background, including consolidated reporting and statutory reporting experience
