A Technical Discussion: When to feel confident when procuring pharmaceuticals from suppliers in the local market

With support from USAID’s Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance (BHA), JSI is pleased to announce this opportunity to hear from people in the field and identify common challenges and solutions to improve the use of data for supply chain management monitoring in emergencies and complex settings. The discussion will focus on the process and challenges to carry out local market surveys of pharmaceuticals in humanitarian and emergency settings, as well as analyze the prequalification of local suppliers. This workshop is for anyone who works with procurement of health commodities in humanitarian settings.

Ayuba Nuhu Tarfa, MSF Switzerland in Borno and Bauchi State, Nigeria

Ayuba works as a project pharmacy manager for MSF Switzerland in the Nigerian states of Borno and Bauchi. Ayuba has experience working with international humanitarian organizations like Save the Children, MSF France, ALIMA, and INTERSOS, and is currently managing supply chain operations for both pharmaceutical and medical commodities as well as nutritional therapeutic foods.
