A Technical Discussion: Risk Management Plans Are Crucial to Minimizing Disruptions in the Availability of Pharmaceuticals at the Last Mile

23
Please join us for a technical discussion in the HCL Community Education Series, organized by the Humanitarian Commodities Logistics Community of Practice. We will discuss and review strategic considerations when developing and implementing risk management plans, look at key threats that disrupt supply chain operations, and identify approaches to managing risks. We are joined by Aya Abdeljalil, pharmaceutical manager at International Rescue Committee (IRC) in Libya and head of medical stock management with quality assurance responsibility in health and supply chain. We will learn from practical and hands-on experience and discuss the basic elements of a supply chain risk management plan, identify approaches to respond to risk events, and look at strategic considerations for risk management. This workshop is for anyone who works with procurement and management of health commodities in humanitarian settings.

This webinar is hosted by the Building Capacity to Improve Health Commodity Management in Humanitarian and Disaster Settings project, with support from USAID’s Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance (BHA).

This webinar is made possible by the generous support of the American people through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). The contents are the responsibility of JSI Research & Training Institute, Inc. (JSI) and do not necessarily reflect the views of USAID/BHA or the United States Government.
