Eligibility: Our next Graduate Program launches in 2020. We’re looking for final year students who are working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or equivalent), and due to complete their studies and be available for a full time graduate role commencing in the summer of 2020.


The role

This role sits within our Portfolio Valuations team. The Portfolio Valuations team provides independent OTC valuations to buy side clients. The team is responsible for managing the daily delivery of service to our clients. This includes assisting clients with operational and technical questions surrounding OTC derivatives.

As part of this role you will be responsible for:

  • Organizing and running daily and monthly valuation processes for clients; this will require hands-on responsibility for some accounts.
  • Handling simple and complex price challenges and resolving them to the satisfaction of the client.
  • Building and maintaining client relationships, so clients are aware of IHS Markit’s new and existing valuation capabilities and increase their use of these services.

To be considered for this opportunity, candidates should demonstrate the following education, skills, eligibility and experience:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree (or equivalent) completed no later than September 2020
  • This program is aimed at graduates with 0-12 months relevant experience
  • Knowledge of OTC Derivatives and Valuation methodologies
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • An ability to learn and adapt quickly in a rapidly changing environment
  • The ability to build strong working relationships in a collaborative setting
  • Be legally eligible to work for the duration of the program in the country for which you apply

You may be considered for multiple suitable roles throughout this process. If these roles fall within the same stream, you will be assessed during the same process. If the roles fall across multiple streams, you may be asked to complete different assessments aligned to those roles.

We recruit on a rolling basis and most of our assessment days are due to take place in late 2019. Applications close 24 November and we recommend early application.
