DEPARTMENT: AFRICAN LANGUAGES AND LITERATURE (ALL)
POST NO. 3654: LECTURER/ SENIOR LECTURER
The Translation and Interpreting section within the Department of African Languages and Literature seeks to appoint a lecturer/senior lecturer in Translation and /or Interpreting. The Applicant should be able to teach the following courses at undergraduate: Lexicography, Terminology, Editing, Translation and Interpreting Theory and Practice, Phonetics, Phonology, Semantics, Morphology, Sociolinguistics and Sesotho Language Proficiency.
Qualifications and Experience
PhD in African Languages and Linguistics with a major in Translation and /or Interpreting
Evidence of research and teaching in an institution of higher learning
Teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate students
Supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate research
Community service engagement
Perform other duties required by the Department
