FACULTY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY: DEPARTMENT OF CHEMISTRY AND CHEMICAL TECHNOLOGY
Post No. 0909: Senior Lecturer/Lecturer (General Chemistry)
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
The minimum requirement for this position is an MSc in Chemistry, with a minimum of two years teaching experience at a university. A PhD in either physical or inorganic chemistry will be an added advantage. Applicants are advised that the University does not promote on appointment.
Applicants who wish to spend at least one (1) year on sabbatical leave may be considered.
• Teach General Chemistry to first year students
• Supervision of laboratory sessions for the practical components of courses assigned to teach
• Taking part in the research activities of the department
• Any other duties as may be assigned by the department from time to time.
The successful candidate will be expected to resume duty on 01 August 2019.
The University offers salaries and other benefits commensurate with qualifications and experience.
This position is for a minimum of two years contract, which is renewable upon satisfactory performance.
