Join us celebrate a Lesotho stalwart who’s written many stories and advocated for women’s rights

The first Mosotho woman to publish a Sesotho poetry book called Bolebeli ( Morija Printing Works 1951). A citizen of Lesotho, Mme Selemeng Mokorosi has been a campaigner and activist on women related issues for over five decades.

She is the author of numerous short stories and articles including her contribution, An overview of the journey from PEMS to LEC. With special focus on Women’s concerns in Church and Society.

Join us as we celebrate this juggernaut of African literature. The fist ever “documented” work of literature from an African female author was Flora Nwapa’s Efuru in 1966, Mme Selemeng has been publishing since 1951.
