Elonwabeni is a small organisation, focussing on the quality of service for our children and their families. Elonwabeni is a registered Cluster Foster Care Scheme, based in Mitchells Plain. We have 26 children in our care, placed across 4 homes.
Elonwabeni seeks to appoint a Social Worker to be based in Western Cape.
The purpose of the position is find a person who loves working with children and Youth. Our organisation seeks someone with vision and ability to implement relevant programmes, with heart and passion.
Responsibilities:
compliance
Development of suitable programmes
Counselling
family reunification
Host Families
Required:
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
Team Player
Excellent command of both English and Afrikaans, with Xhosa being an advantage
Valid Driver’s License
Qualifications required:
Registered as a Social Worker with the Council
Evidence of prior involvement with Youth and children in the community would be a great advantage.
