The Road Fund was established by Legal Notice No. 179 of 1995, with the primary objective of providing a mechanism for progressive transformation of the road sector, whereby the fiscal burden for maintenance of roads is gradually being shifted from the Government to users of public roads. Overall management of the Fund rests with the Road Fund Board, which was established by Legal Notice No. 16 of 1996 whilst the day to day operations of the Fund are entrusted to the Secretariat.
The Road Fund Board requires the services of a suitably qualified Lesotho National to fill the position of Civil Works Technician.
The incumbent shall be responsible for assisting the Secretariat Engineer with the preparation of Annual Maintenance Programmes, Monitoring and Evaluation of projects and Programmes funded by the Road Fund.
Qualifications, Working Experience, and Knowledge:
Diploma in Civil Engineering plus five years of experience.
Extensive experience in quality control and inspection of civil engineering works.
Ability to write and analyse reports.
Exposure to Contract Management principles.
The successful candidate must be a holder of a valid driver’s license with at least two (2) years’ driving experience and be willing to travel to the Districts as required.
Salary will be in accordance with the Road Fund scales of remuneration, which are competitive and market related.
